This study presents a comprehensive techno-economic optimization framework for AC multi-microgrid (MMG) systems. A dynamic energy management system (EMS) is developed to coordinate the operation of distributed energy resources (DERs), minimize total operational costs, and reduce dependency on the main grid. The EMS efficiently manages energy exchanges between microgrids, optimizes battery charging and discharging strategies, and ensures a balanced integration of renewable energy sources. Simulation results for a case study in Casablanca, Morocco, validate the effectiveness of the proposed approach, demonstrating cost reductions, improved renewable energy utilization, and decreased reliance on the external grid through coordinated realtime energy management.
