Improvement of the magnetic core for eddy current losses decreasing in cylindrical linear actuators

In this paper, a method for reducing the eddy current losses in cylindrical linear structure is presented. It is based on one or several slots in the magnetic circuit. This method has been applied in a multi-rod actuator. The comparison between several slot configurations will be presented in the final paper.
