This paper illustrates a global design methodologyin the case of a simple switching cell, used in a DC-DC converter.The aim is to account simultaneously for all parameters andconstraints involved in the design of the converter: thermalaspects, EMC filter and design of passives. Specific models aredeveloped, validated and implemented in a dedicatedoptimization framework. Results are discussed, with a specificemphasis on EMC filter.
