In an electromechanical conversion unit, the power cable is an EMC key point. It is indeed both a privileged conducted disturbances propagation way, a broadband radiating element, and a vulnerable way to external electromagnetic field attacks. The great kind diversity of cables, as well as geometric configurations and environmental variety, make wiring an appropriate example for new EMC generic modeling. In this study a cable model is proposed to reflect its contribution to the common mode current flowing. This model, informed by the measure or by a dedicated simulation, is associated with existing machine and inverter models to carry out an assessment of common mode current in a SPICE environment from product design. Starting from these levels of disturbances conducted a post treatment is carried out to determine the radiated near field.
