The General Survey of Heritage Data is a study launched by the ESPADON EquipEx to assess the data practices of various stakeholders in the field of Heritage Science, as well as their needs, with a view to developing a digital ecosystem that will implement the concept of the “augmented heritage object”. This report summarises the findings obtained from responses to a questionnaire distributed widely across the country and from discussions in working groups. Following a summary of the methodology used, it describes stakeholders’ attitudes towards data, their practices regarding reused and newly produced data, and summarises the needs expressed regarding the future ESPADON ecosystem.
